Responsibilities
Behavior Health Technician Supervisor assists the counselors, therapeutic staff, and nursing staff by providing clinical support to adults or children receiving substance abuse, mental health services, or co‑occurring disorders in residential, inpatient, day/evening, outpatient, or community‐based programs. This position serves as a role model, mentor, and/or assistant trainer to other Behavior Health Technicians.
Providing direction and feedback to other Behavior Health Technicians during shift.
Establishing a positive helping relationship with persons receiving services.
Assisting persons receiving services to complete activities of daily living, including accessing needed resources and building functional relationships with others.
Ensuring the safety of the person receiving services; implementing specific interventions according to the person's treatment or service plan.
Monitoring and documenting the person's progress.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in social work or a related field and at least two (2) years of experience working with children and/or adults; or two (2) years of college and three (3) years of experience; or at least five (5) years of experience in child welfare and/or adults without a post‑secondary degree.
Ability to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse, and co‑occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
Ability to travel locally to clients' homes, training locations, and other sites as necessary.
Ability to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background checks as appropriate.
Possession of a valid driver's license from the state of residence, a good driving record, and insurance eligibility under the corporate policy.
Compensation
Base pay ranges from $17.50 to $18.75 an hour based on experience. Shift differential pays $2.00 to $4.00 an hour if applicable.
