Monitoring & Testing Associate
A top bank is looking for a Monitoring & Testing Associate to support its Compliance Monitoring & Testing program. This role focuses on evaluating internal controls, identifying risks, and ensuring business activities align with regulatory expectations and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
Perform monitoring and testing activities to assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls across various business units.
Develop and refine test plans, procedures, scripts, and sampling methodologies.
Document testing results thoroughly and maintain organized workpapers.
Identify control gaps, process weaknesses, and potential compliance or regulatory risks.
Draft findings and support the preparation of reports for Compliance leadership.
Work closely with business partners to understand processes, gather supporting evidence, and track remediation progress.
Contribute to enhancements of the testing framework and methodology.
Keep up to date with regulatory developments, industry trends, and internal policy changes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
4-7 years of experience in Compliance, Internal Audit, Risk Management, or control testing within financial services.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, internal controls, and testing methodologies.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to balance multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and related tools.
