Maintenance Manager

AFCO Industries is looking for a hands‑on Maintenance Manager to lead reliability, uptime, and maintenance operations at our manufacturing facility in Alexandria, Louisiana. This is a high‑impact leadership role with direct influence on production performance and a seat at the table as we grow.
We run extrusion presses, CNC lines, fabrication equipment, and paint lines. We need someone to own the reliability of all of it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead & Develop the Team
Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians across shifts
Prioritize work, assign tasks, and ensure high‑quality execution
Drive accountability, performance, and continuous skill development
Promote and enforce a strong safety‑first culture
Drive Equipment Reliability
Own and execute the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program across all equipment
Improve uptime and reduce downtime through data‑driven decisions
Lead root cause analysis and implement long‑term corrective actions
Oversee equipment installs, upgrades, and capital projects
Manage Operations & Costs
Manage the maintenance budget and identify cost‑saving opportunities
Coordinate contractors and ensure quality and cost control
Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment history
Partner with Production to minimize disruption and maximize output
Ensure Safety & Compliance
Enforce OSHA standards including LOTO and confined space procedures
Identify and resolve safety risks proactively
Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work environments
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
5–7+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing
2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
Strong hands‑on experience with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
Experience building or managing Preventive Maintenance programs
Ability to read schematics, drawings, and technical documents
Preferred:
Experience in aluminum extrusion, fabrication, or metals manufacturing
Technical degree or certification (Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical)
Experience with CMMS systems
Background managing contractors and capital projects
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily indoor (~95%)
PPE required
May require occasional after‑hours or on‑call support
