Overview
Paramount is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our web engineering team. Ideal candidates will encompass robust technical knowledge with extensive experience in designing and developing scalable web applications. The day to day for this role will include building, extending, and maintaining features on the ever-evolving Paramount+ web application, as well as the other brands we support. If chosen for the role you will get to work in a dynamic industry that values agile thinking, collaboration, and innovation.
Responsibilities
Design, build and support high performance, scalability, and innovative features to operate within our code base.
Demonstrate proficient communication skills to lead through all aspects of the development cycle.
Monitor and improve application performance.
Collaborate and coach colleagues in a respectable manner.
Partner with our frontend, backend engineering and DevOps teams to build and deploying high-performing services.
Help build a culture of good engineering processes and practices.
Work in all phases of software development.
Manage and optimize application dependencies.
Continuously enhance our CI/CD pipelines by writing tests and leveraging software to ensure stability for our platform.
Design and build A/B test features.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience with web application development.
BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent functional experience.
Deep knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Design, data structures, and algorithms.
Deep insight of web application development and best practices.
Solid experience developing apps with React and/or Vue.js (preferably with SSR).
Experience with Node.js.
Experience with Unit Testing technologies in JS.
Good awareness of HTTP protocol and cashiers.
Solid knowledge of HTML DOM and Event APIs.
Solid knowledge of Webpack.
Solid knowledge of Git.
Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Haves)
Experience with microservices.
Experience with React frameworks like Next.js.
Experience with GraphQL.
Experience with PHP.
Experience with E2E frameworks - with awareness with Cypress and Synergy.
Working knowledge of Docker and CI tools.
Experience using Module Federation and/or other micro frontend tools/frameworks.
Experience with Atomic Design Concepts.

Hiring Salary Range: $124,000.00 - 170,000.00.
