Apple Rehab Avon is a 60‑bed skilled nursing and short‑term rehab facility located in Avon, CT, just a few miles from Rt. 44. We are looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dedicated team.
Starting Pay:
Competitive rates starting at $20 per hour, based on experience.
Differentials Offered
Shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends.
Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00 per hour for any shifts worked outside scheduled hours.
Available Shifts
16 hour, 7am-3pm
32, 24, 16 hour, 3pm-11pm
24 hour, 11pm-7am
Per Diem
Responsibilities
Assist residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use, positioning in and out of bed.
Document personal care provided according to facility policies.
Perform nursing functions as directed, including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, and measuring and recording temperature, weight, pulse, and respiration.
Observe and report changes in residents’ condition, including skin breakdowns.
Report immediately all accidents or injuries.
Record all required charting entries.
Answer all call lights regardless of assignment.
Respond to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
Qualifications
Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
No history of patient/resident abuse per State Registry.
Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward residents and their support networks.
Additional Expectations
Per diem staff are expected to fulfill two weekend shifts monthly to meet requirements.
