Paradise Valley Hospital is the South Bay’s oldest hospital, the second oldest in all of San Diego County, and the largest employer in National City. It offers a 291‑bed acute care facility with services including a Spine & Joint Center, rehabilitation, cardiac catheterization lab, behavioral health services, and 24‑hour emergency services.
Responsibilities
Mental Health Worker Inpatient: Assist RN or Charge RN with patient care, activities of daily living, maintain a safe environment, support interdisciplinary team, perform clerical duties as assigned, and provide basic nursing care as per nursing standards and policies.
Mental Health Worker Outpatient: Under direction of Director of Nursing and Program Director, carry out activities of daily living program and individual treatment plans for psychiatric patients.
Qualifications
Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the state, or minimum one year experience as Mental Health Worker in a hospital setting.
BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
One (1) year prior mental health experience preferred.
Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology preferred.
Pay Transparency

Estimated starting compensation is $21.00 per hour. Final salary determined at hiring, based on factors such as skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
