Nursing Assistant - Float Pool - Full-time - Days

Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse's aide at NYP, keeping our fast‑paced environments running smoothly.
Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.
Float to all units in the hospital such as Med‑Surg, Critical Care, Psychiatry, Emergency Department, or where needed.
This is a full‑time day position (7:30 AM‑4:00 PM) at New York‑Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, requiring weekends and holidays.
Preferred Criteria
Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience as a nurse’s aide in a hospital.
Required Criteria
High school diploma or GED.
Certification from an approved, accredited Nurse Assistant training program or current certification.
Enrollment in a BSN program & completion of at least 1 clinical rotation.
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Basic computer skills.
All roles require on‑site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
Salary Range
$24.61 ‑ $26.46/Hourly
