
Sommelier Supervisor

Essential Functions
Maintain & adhere to all resort service standards & expectations, including but not limited to appearance, time & attendance & guest interactions.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Create & manage the wine lists throughout property, including but not limited guest facing menus & inventories.
Working & communicating as part of a cohesive team
POS – point of sales – knowledge
Basic computer (pc) knowledge & usage
Obtain & maintain a RAMP certificate through the state of PA
Maintain & care for department assets, including but not limited to serviceware, wine inventories & glassware,
Adhere to SOS – sequence of service – for upscale dining.
Stay up to date on trends within the wine industry, menu knowledge & allergy awareness.
Maintain, manage & perform EOM inventories, including outlet wine programs & resort wine cellar.
Conduct wine experiences for our guests, including but not limited to group tastings, private events, cellar tours & in dining wine recommendations.
Create professional relationships with our Purchasing Team & Wine & Spirits vendors, bringing in the best quality products for our guests.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks & maintain collective & genuine in high volume situations.
Adheres to SOPs, including but not limited to phone etiquette, personal appearance, timing & attendance, guest interactions.
Adhere to cash handling & proper tender transactions.
Knowledge of menus for all food & beverage operations, in additional to general & accurate resort information
Other job duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
May require an associate's degree or its equivalent and at least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Level One Certificate from Court of Master Sommeliers or comparable professional association or willing to obtain this certification after employment)
Friendly and outgoing personality.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to stand up to 8 hours at a time
Must be able to speak the English language fluently.
Must be able to handle high-pressure situations.
Must be able to work a variety of shifts – including but not limited to holidays, weekends, & evenings
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
Ability to interface professionally with business contacts & guests.
