Overview
Publicis Re:Sources is seeking a Senior Counsel II to join its legal team. This role is fully dedicated to supporting Publicis Health and provides strategic, hands‑on legal counsel to advertising, marketing, data, analytics, and market research agencies serving pharmaceutical clients. The position works closely with business leaders in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including client master services agreements, vendor agreements, statements of work, amendments, change orders, data use and license agreements, SaaS, and confidentiality agreements
Advise on pharma‑specific compliance obligations, including debarment and exclusion, safety and compliance reporting audit rights, transparency and regulatory cooperation
Advise on IP ownership, licensing, development, and commercialization of proprietary data, software, and other intellectual property
Review and negotiate AI‑related contract terms in the context of emerging client requirements related to automated tools and analytics
Lead the legal response to new business pitches, including coordination, drafting and negotiation of contractual documentation
Standardize templates, processes and legal guidance where possible to improve efficiency of legal services to business units
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA‑accredited law school
Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, including experience at a law firm
Active license to practice law and in good standing in the State of New York
Position is based in New York; no relocation assistance provided
Skills & Experience
Experienced advertising and commercial transactions attorney with a strong understanding of how advertising, medical communications, and market research services intersect with pharmaceutical regulatory, privacy, and compliance requirements
Demonstrated knowledge of data use, technology, and analytics within a regulated pharmaceutical or healthcare environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management capabilities
Sound business judgment and the ability to provide practical, risk‑balanced legal advice aligned with overall business objectives
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, complex, and constantly evolving environment while meeting deadlines
Exceptional interpersonal and client‑service skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders
Proven ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team
Additional Information
Compensation Range: $175,000.00-$225,000.00 annually.
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third‑party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
