Broken Arrow, OK: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a
MIG Welder . Pay Range:
$24.00 - $28.00+ per hour , based on experience. The MIG Welder is responsible for executing fabrication projects in accordance with welding procedures while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, cost control, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a dependable team player with a strong work ethic.
Essential Duties
Perform metal core MIG and flux core welding processes.
Pass applicable welding tests and Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE).
Weld brackets, braces, and structural components using grinders and hand tools.
Position materials into jigs, fixtures, guides, and supports for welding.
Perform position welds on code materials.
Complete x-ray and ultrasound quality test welds with minimal rework.
Operate flame and plasma cutting torches and automated equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, fit up pipe, flanges, and related materials with minimal supervision.
Operate basic cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
Promote workplace safety, productivity, and a positive attitude.
Collaborate with team members to improve departmental work processes.
Use welding tools regularly and forklifts occasionally.
Weld according to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and required parameters.
Identify and work with different types and sizes of pipe, structural steel, and vessel materials.
Requirements/Skills
1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred.
Welding certification required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong commitment to all HSE and safety guidelines.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Highly motivated with strong attention to detail and quality.
Strong understanding of fabrication tools, welding procedures, and blueprint reading.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Frequently inspect equipment and climb stairs or ladders.
Maintain balance on stairs or ladders without assistance.
Occasionally bend, squat, climb, stoop, twist, and reach.
Ability to work in hot and cold weather conditions.
Ability to use welding tools constantly and operate forklifts occasionally.
Occasionally use office equipment such as computers, copiers, printers, calendars, and telephones.
