Responsibilities
Full Time Nurse Supervisor for the Night Shift at The Vines Hospital, Ocala, FL.
Sign‑on Bonus: $7,500.00
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care for all patients on the in‑patient Adult Acute units. The Supervisor manages staffing, implementation and evaluation of care for psychiatric and chemically dependent patients during each shift, oversees operational and programmatic management of the designated shift, and promotes professional growth and development of nursing staff. Responsibilities also include planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Associate's degree from an accredited school of Nursing is required. BSN preferred.
Valid RN license in the state of Florida required; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Two (2) years of experience within behavioral health or psychiatric hospital settings required. At least one (1) year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role required.
Extensive knowledge of mental health conditions including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Background in managing complex patient cases involving acute pain management or psychiatric emergencies is advantageous.
Familiarity with ICD‑10 coding, utilization review, case management, and discharge planning processes is beneficial.
Strong leadership skills coupled with excellent communication abilities to motivate staff and ensure high‑quality patient care delivery.
