Job Summary
Performs general secretarial and administrative duties, such as composing and typing correspondence, coordinating meetings, maintaining files, answering telephones and processing mail. Acts as a resource in providing information to patients, hospital staff, and outside physicians, using discretion and judgment when relaying confidential data. Assists medical staff in scheduling and processing patients, maintaining medical chart files and performing other related duties.
Specifications
Graduation from high school. Training in secretarial procedures necessary (typing, filing and shorthand and/or machine transcription). At least two years working experience desirable; at least one year necessary. Background in medical terminology and experience with Medi System desirable, but not necessary. Proficiency in the English language required.
