Job Overview

We are looking for a Part‑time Front Desk Agent at Hyatt Regency Calgary. This exciting position was designed for our guests to have a seamless check‑in and check‑out experience.
Responsibilities

Ensure cash float is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift.
Read, understand and abide by the associate handbook, hotel policies and departmental procedures.
Ensure all registered guests have enough payment via credit check report and have proper identification presented.
Ensure all daily arrivals are processed and special requests are taken care of.
Checkout guest accounts ensuring proper billing, postings and revisions are performed and logged.
Dealt with guest complaints or concerns promptly and efficiently.
Log and deliver all packages for guests promptly and efficiently.
Assist guests with hotel and area information or any requests they have.
Arrange transportation and storage of guest luggage.
Check‑in guest reservations ensuring proper billing, postings and accuracy of information.
Maintain guest security when issuing room keys after proper identification is established.
Ensure shift audit balances and paperwork is accounted for.
Complete room blocking, wake‑up calls, baggage check‑in/out and reconcile master group accounts.
Understand our different customers and their varied needs (corporate, leisure, FIT, convention, tour or airline).
Understand room availability inventory and rate programs or upselling strategies of the hotel.
Know hotel facilities, hours of operations and local attractions.
Know company‑wide marketing programs and incentives.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Management.
Support other departments as needed.
This role will require covering a few shifts in the club lounge as an attendant .
May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
Valid work authorization for Canada.
Qualifications

Previous front desk experience is required.
Knowledge of OPERA PMS and other PMS is an asset.
Previous hospitality experience in a fast guest facing environment.
Multilingual language skills (French / Spanish) will be an advantage.

This role will typically allow a minimum of 10 up to 29 hours per week.
The starting hourly rate for this role is $19 CAD per hour.
