Looking for a flexible schedule?
Durango School District is recruiting support staff substitutes to work with our amazing students and staff!
Pay rates for these various assignments range from $18.50 to $22 per hour.
Substitutes working in this capacity may choose to substitute as classroom aides, clerical support, administrative assistants, media aides, bus monitors, bus drivers, cooks.
We are recruiting candidates who are willing to work a flexible schedule at locations and in positions that vary daily. Our support staff substitutes work during the school year in a variety of roles to assist the successful operations of our schools. At times, there may be classroom aide work available in the summer supporting our students in our Extended School Year program.
Upon accepting a support staff substitute position, you must also agree to be fingerprinted to meet employment requirements.
Requirements include:
A high school diploma or GED.
Experience working with children.
Experience in a classroom or office setting.
Strong interpersonal communication, basic language, basic math and basic writing skills.
A minimum of two professional references (We do not accept family or friends as references).
Candidates must also have strong computer skills. Substitutes are required to navigate through an electronic system independently to accept and decline assignments; maintain their schedules; and view assignment instructions.
