position available at Walnut Creek Elementary for the 2026-27 school year. District Pool Substitutes are assigned to a primary building within the district, but may be directed to an alternate assignment/building based on daily need.

Essential Functions
Ensure the safety of students.
Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter.
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
Follow the scope and sequence of the instructional program.
Observe the ethics of the teaching profession.
Compensation and Benefits
District Pool Substitutes are paid $170 per workday, and $180 per workday for days 61+ with a 100% attendance rate (a 95% quarterly attendance rate is required to maintain the daily rate). Up to three paid calamity days are available. District health insurance benefits are not offered for certified substitute teachers.
Application Requirements
Qualified candidates will be employed through the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (ESC of Central Ohio), must hold or be eligible to hold valid and appropriate licensure for each position with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, and be active on Frontline Absence Management as a certified substitute for the ESC of Central Ohio.

Complete the Teacher Candidate Assessment within the allotted time; multiple attempts are not permitted.
