Purpose of the Role
As a Civil/Structural Inspector at Worley, you will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity, quality, and compliance of materials and construction practices on our projects. Your role supports Worley’s commitment to delivering sustainable change by safeguarding the standards that enable safe, efficient, and forward-looking engineering solutions. Through your work, you will directly contribute to Worley’s ambition of leading the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors toward a more sustainable future, ensuring projects meet critical requirements while helping to reduce environmental impact and improve asset longevity.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct inspections of civil and structural materials and workmanship to ensure full compliance with engineering specifications, applicable industry codes, and quality standards throughout all project phases.
Collaborate with senior quality professionals to solve complex challenges, supporting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement aligned with Worley’s purpose of delivering a more sustainable world.
Apply sound judgment in organizing and prioritizing inspection activities, ensuring alignment with company policies, client expectations, and project goals.
Monitor work execution for adherence to design and quality standards, actively contributing to the safe and successful delivery of infrastructure and energy projects.
Review documentation, verify test results, and support reporting processes that maintain transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
Engage in structured learning and development opportunities to deepen knowledge of quality standards, inspection methodologies, and sustainability-related best practices.
Provide mentorship and informal guidance to peers when appropriate, contributing to a collaborative and knowledgeable project team environment.
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, presenting findings clearly and constructively while supporting cross-functional collaboration.
Utilize inspection tools and digital systems proficiently to ensure accurate data collection, compliance tracking, and continuous quality assurance.
Support Worley’s strategic shift towards sustainability by ensuring that project execution reflects our commitment to responsible resource use, safety, and performance excellence.
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance industry experience
NCEER Certified Plus (Written or performance verified)
Physical Requirements
