SUPPLY SPECIALIST OR SENIOR SUPPLY SPECIALIST-CASUAL (2 VACANCIES)
JOB TITLE: Supply Specialist / Sr. Supply Specialist
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: Administrative Services/Finance-Procurement
SUPERVISOR: Chief Purchasing Officer or designee
Salary Ranges: Supply Specialist - $20.61/hr. - $33.55/hr.
Senior Supply Specialist - $22.72/hr. - $36.99/hr.
Position Summary
Under general supervision of the Chief Purchasing Officer or designee, performs all County inventory and material control functions, including validating, receipt processing, reconciliation, replenishment, material handling, and data entry into the County’s and Los Alamos Public Schools reporting systems. Monitors the application and ensures adherence of all relevant County policies, procedures, and requirements. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Two years’ supply management or related business experience.
Must possess or have ability to obtain within first sixty days of employment a valid New Mexico Class D driver’s license.
Must possess or have ability to obtain within first six months of employment a Hazards Communication Course Certificate, covering RCRA, EPCRA and OSHA regulations.
Must possess or have ability to obtain within first six months of employment a National Safety Council Forklift Operators Certification or equivalent.
Must successfully complete pre‑employment physical exam prior to commencing work.
Additional Minimum Qualifications for Sr. Supply Specialist
Two additional years of supply management or related business experience.
