Blackstone Private Wealth is seeking a Vice President, Product Specialist to serve as a subject‑matter expert for 1031 exchange and tax‑deferred private real estate solutions. The role spans the full product lifecycle—from fundraising through investment and return of capital—and requires deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate complex structures into clear, advisor‑ and client‑ready insights.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a primary product specialist for Blackstone's 1031 exchange‑eligible real estate strategies within the Private Wealth platform.

Partner with Real Estate investment teams and internal stakeholders to develop and execute product positioning, messaging, and sales strategies across global Private Wealth channels.

Provide timely investment, performance, and market updates to Private Wealth sales teams, financial advisors, and end clients.

Support the completion and coordination of due diligence questionnaires related to 1031 exchange‑eligible real estate products within Private Wealth, partnering closely with investment teams, legal, compliance, tax, and risk stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent responses covering product structure, tax considerations, investment strategy, risk management, and operational processes for advisor and client review.

Act as a technical resource on 1031 exchange structures, including eligibility, execution mechanics, tax considerations, and portfolio construction use cases.

Create and maintain high‑impact client and advisor content, including:

Monthly and quarterly product updates

Fund and portfolio reviews

Market and investment commentary

Deal activity and pipeline updates

Responses to bespoke advisor and client requests

Participate in advisor and client meetings, both virtual and in‑person, to communicate portfolio updates, performance, and market insights.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product Strategy, Investor Services, Compliance, and Business Development to support broader platform initiatives.

Monitor competitive dynamics across private real estate, tax‑advantaged structures, and alternative investment vehicles relevant to 1031 investors.

Support and mentor junior team members contributing to product coverage and client support.

Travel as needed for client engagement, due diligence meetings, and industry events.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in asset management, investment banking, consulting, or wealth management, with a strong focus on private real estate.

FINRA Series 7 & (63/65 or 66) required.

Demonstrated experience with 1031 exchanges and tax‑deferred real estate investment structures serving high‑net‑worth investors.

Deep understanding of private real estate markets, investment structures, return drivers, and risk considerations.

Strong familiarity with wealth management distribution models, advisor needs, and relevant regulatory frameworks.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, can clearly articulate complex investment concepts.

Highly collaborative, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

MBA and/or CFA preferred, but not required.

Optional Licensing Requirements

Attending client meetings where you are discussing Blackstone products and/or client questions;

Marketing Blackstone funds to new or existing clients;

Supervising or training securities‑licensed employees;

Structuring or creating Blackstone funds/products; and

Advising on marketing plans prepared by a sales team or contributing information for marketing materials.

Salary & Benefits
Expected annual base salary range: $175,000 – $200,000.

Additional compensation and benefits include comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, and FSA), paid time off, life insurance, 401(k) plan, discretionary bonuses, and potential equity or other incentive compensation at Blackstone's discretion.
