Position Summary
The Shop Helper is responsible for supporting daily shop operations, organizing materials, preparing job supplies, and assisting field crews. This role helps ensure projects run efficiently by keeping materials, tools, and equipment ready and accessible.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, unload, and organize incoming materials and deliveries
Pull and stage materials for upcoming jobs based on work orders
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
Track inventory and notify management when stock is low
Assist with loading and unloading company vehicles
Deliver materials and tools to job sites as needed
Assist electricians and project teams with basic tasks
Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and storage areas
Dispose of scrap materials and keep yard/shop clean
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
Basic knowledge of tools and construction materials (electrical preferred but not required)
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
Preferred (Not Required)
Previous warehouse, shop, or construction experience
Work Environment
Combination of indoor shop work and outdoor yard work
Exposure to weather conditions when loading/unloading materials
Fast-paced, hands-on environment
