Patrick Douds Pub is hiring

seasonal Back of House staff

to join its team for the 2026 season on Mackinac Island, Michigan. This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-volume restaurant environment while living on a historic, car-free island.
Season Dates

Estimated staff arrival:

April 15 – April 20 (may vary based on team completion)

Target opening date:

April 23

End of season:

October 25

Cleanup period:

2–3 additional days (approximately until October 28)

Open Positions

4–5 Cooks

3 Prep / Utility / Dishwasher

Pay Rates

Cooks:

$16.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience)

Prep / Utility / Dishwasher:

$15.00 – $17.00 per hour

Experience Requirements

Cooks:

Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience, with strong knife skills

Prep / Utility / Dishwasher:

Experience not required; training available for candidates familiar with a kitchen environment

Language

Full bilingual proficiency is

not required

The hiring manager (Dave) speaks basic Spanish and conducts interviews at a slower pace
