Job Summary
3rd shift opportunities are available for Powder Coating Technicians. The role involves applying a dry powder finish to various metal products, requiring attention to detail, technical skills, and strong adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for coating, including cleaning and ensuring a smooth finish.
Apply powder coatings using equipment such as spray guns and hoppers, ensuring an even application that meets quality standards.
Control curing/drying process by moving parts into a curing oven and managing temperature and timing for optimal results.
Monitor the coating process and inspect finished products for defects to maintain manufacturing standards.
Maintain equipment, clean work areas, and follow safety protocols to minimize hazards and keep a safe working environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in manufacturing, painting, spray coating, hand tools, or powder coating.
Basic blueprint reading skills.
Ability to write, read, and understand basic and verbal instructions.
Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
Dress Code (Safety Requirements)
Must wear long pants and short sleeves without rips, tears, or holes; steel‑toed shoes; safety glasses with side shields; respiratory mask, hood, and ear plugs; and safety gloves.
Work Authorization
Only U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents are eligible. The company will not sponsor work visas.
