Position Summary
Rutgers University’s Center for Adult Autism Services is seeking a Job Coach to provide ABA‑based instruction and support to adults with autism. The role is part‑time (12–19.5 hours per week) and reports to a Behavior Analyst.
Key Responsibilities
Work within an instructional setting under the supervision of a behavior analyst to support vocational and recreational goals of adults with autism.
Provide direct care to adults with autism in a variety of settings (community, vocational, recreational, center‑based, etc.).
Implement ABA instructional and behavior‑reduction programming as appropriate under supervision of a BCBA.
Collect and maintain data to support progress monitoring of skill acquisition and behavior‑reduction programming.
Maintain an efficient and organized instructional environment, including preparation of instructional materials and creation/maintenance of data storage systems.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Standing and walking for extended periods, working outdoors, ability to follow safety procedures.
Qualifications
High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and/or 4 years of relevant experience.
Interest in school climate and culture.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time‑management skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work well with adults with autism who have significant educational, physical, or behavioral support needs.
Ability to complete training in crisis management.
Ability to complete accurate service documentation and billing notes in accordance with insurance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Compensation
Non‑exempt hourly salary: $19.71 per hour.

12–19.5 hours per week; majority of hours during regular work and school day hours (typically 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).
