Position Title: Student Worker Workforce & Employment Services

Department: Office of Instruction

Responsibilities
The Workforce & Employment Services department is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Student Worker to provide essential administrative and operational support. This role helps students, employers, and visitors.

Front Desk & Administrative Support

Customer Service: Greet and assist office visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.

Communication: Respond to general inquiries regarding workforce training programs via email and phone.

Office Operations: Create and format documents, manage high-volume copying, and assist with other administrative tasks.

Career Closet: Manage and process donations to the Career Closet and maintain a tidy, organized closet for students.

Data & Platform Management

Data Entry: Collect and accurately input graduate information for institutional data collection and reporting.

Handshake Coordination: Review the Handshake platform to ensure quality opportunities for students.

Visual Marketing: Support the design, creation, and maintenance of the department’s bulletin board to promote jobs, events, and resources.

Event Logistics: Assist with the setup, break down, and facilitation of departmental events, workshops, and career fairs.

Qualifications

Eligibility: Must be a currently enrolled student in good academic standing and work‑study eligible.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with students and staff.

Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Google Suite and using a computer; familiarity with Handshake is a plus, but not required.

Professionalism: Ability to handle sensitive student data with confidentiality and maintain a dependable schedule.
