Hyatt Regency Tamaya is looking for a Barista for the summer. The Barista will play a key role in creating a welcoming experience for our resort guests.
Overview
The Barista works in the Trading Post, our on‑property gift shop featuring Starbucks beverages, grab‑and‑go food, snacks, beverages, sundries, and resort gifts. In addition to preparing and serving Starbucks drinks, this role assists guests with retail purchases and maintains an inviting, well‑organized environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare and serve Starbucks beverages in accordance with brand and menu standards
Greet guests warmly and take beverage and retail orders accurately
Assist guests with the purchase of gifts, sundries, snacks, and beverages
Operate point‑of‑sale systems for food, beverage, and retail transactions
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the beverage station and retail space
Stock, rotate, and merchandise products as needed
Provide knowledgeable assistance and recommendations to enhance the guest experience
Qualifications
True desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment
Refined verbal communication skills
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 25 pounds)
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
