Job Overview
The Customer Logistics Associate will provide front‑line supervision and administrative support for the location, primarily responsible for assigning work to non‑exempt personnel and attaining daily operational goals within his/her assigned functional area.
Essential Functions
Payroll/Billing
Comply with all Safety Maintenance and Compliance requirements, including DOT log review, preparation and submission; conduct safety training and orientations; serve as first point of contact for collisions and injuries; update and maintain STAR; conduct safety meetings with other management.
Handle front‑line customer requests; identify and elevate any customer issues if needed; act as liaison between hourly workers and management; elevate employee relations issues as appropriate; quality assurance; dispatch/routing; driver communications (e.g., location updates, settlement reports, weekly paycheck stubs); P&L responsibility (supplies, expenses, etc.).
Maintain location A/P log
Supply/uniform ordering
Maintain all attendance/vacation records for hourly employees
Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting to Manager prior to distribution
Additional Responsibilities
RD 2000 responsibilities
SOX invoice reconciliation preparation for approval at the highest level
Recommend location process initiation and/or improvement needed
Other location‑specific requirements as required
Skills and Abilities
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Flexibility to operate and self‑driven to excel in a fast‑paced environment
Capable of multi‑tasking, highly organized, with excellent time‑management skills
Detail‑oriented with strong follow‑up practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills both internally and externally
Ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
Knowledge/experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment (e.g., shipping, receiving, inventory management, distribution or dispatch) – intermediate preferred
Knowledge of warehouse, software applications, routing and dispatching software – intermediate preferred
Understanding of DOT, OSHA and related safety regulations – strongly preferred/intermediate
Qualifications
H.S. diploma or GED required
One (1) year or more experience in a warehouse, transportation, logistics or distribution environment required
One (1) year or more experience in a customer‑service environment required
Knowledge/experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment – intermediate preferred
Knowledge of warehouse, software applications, routing and dispatching software – intermediate preferred
Understanding of DOT, OSHA and related safety regulations – strongly preferred/intermediate
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Type:
Salaried – paid twice per month
Annual Salary:
$45,000 – $48,000 per year (based on experience)
Schedule:
Shift – Monday‑Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm (Hybrid: Monday & Friday remote)
