Overview
The role is pivotal in delivering precise project estimates and managing projects from start to finish. You will be instrumental in generating new business, preparing competitive quotes, and ensuring project execution aligns with customer expectations, budget constraints, and timelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-driven, and experienced in the construction industry, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and adjust field activities to meet project timelines and milestones.
Develop and prepare accurate estimates based on customer requests, technician input, and site visits.
Conduct job site visits to gather necessary information for estimates.
Prepare project quotes aligned with customer scope and budget.
Ensure timely ordering of materials and components needed for project execution.
Coordinate with Field Managers and Operations teams to validate labor and equipment needs.
Manage projects from planning through execution and closeout, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, and budget.
Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment rentals.
Identify and resolve project issues, implementing preventative measures.
Analyze cost discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Prepare and process bidding documents, scopes of work, contracts, and related paperwork.
Develop value-engineering solutions to optimize cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate equipment scheduling and availability to support field operations.
Maintain oversight of project inventory, materials, and equipment utilization.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a lead estimator and project manager.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to interpret blueprints and prepare material takeoffs and estimates.
Solid mathematical skills applicable to construction estimating and project planning.
Self-motivated, punctual, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
10 years of pipe fitting experience.
3 years of supervisory experience in a field/job site environment.
5 years of office and field management or technical services experience.
Industrial construction/maintenance experience in mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing disciplines.
Demonstrated leadership ability with the capacity to direct and guide others effectively.
