The Night Mechanic Position
Responsible for conducting routine maintenance and minor repairs on diesel trucks and heavy machinery. This overnight role ensures all equipment is thoroughly inspected, maintained, and fully operational for morning dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
Check and replace engine oil, transmission fluid, coolant, hydraulic fluid, and other vital fluids
Conduct routine inspections of diesel trucks and heavy equipment
Carry out minor mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance
Detect potential mechanical problems and inform management of major repairs
Keep work areas clean and organized
Guarantee that all equipment is prepared and functional for morning dispatch
Qualifications
Experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment is preferred.
Capability to perform basic mechanical repairs independently
Understanding of preventative maintenance practices
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Dependable, punctual, and able to work overnight shifts

Standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and shop environments
Clean and maintain the maintenance shop and wash bays
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition
