City Produce is recruiting Sales Associate to come join our family. We are a company that can offer you benefits and longevity with job security. The Inside Sales Associate position is responsible for receiving incoming orders for customers, answering inquiries and questions, troubleshooting issues, conducting follow‑up customer calls, completing call logs, presenting new or additional featured products to customers by recognizing opportunities to up‑sell accounts. The Inside Sales Associate position must align with the core values of both FreshEdge and City Produce –

Essential Functions:

Works closely with Dispatch personnel and Director of transportation to provide best-in-class delivery expectations

Actively manage fleet performance including safety, customer service, disciplinary actions, including ride‑alongs for coaching and training

Schedule day‑to‑day duties related to time off, weekly hours verification and fill‑in route delivery for vacations, call‑offs, emergency shipments as needed

Participate in the hiring of Drivers: interviews, road tests, and paperwork

Work with Safety Director to maintain and manage DOT compliance including driver fitness, random drug screen programs, and safety investigations to ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.

Perform route work and warehouse work as part of a regular schedule

Previous experience in Transportation or Warehousing experience in a refrigerated food manufacturing or distributor operation preferred

A minimum of a high school or GED

At least 2+ years of experience in transportation with at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity

Proficient skills in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and common E Mail systems

Must be able to read, speak, and write English satisfactorily, bilingual a plus

Education & Experience and Competencies:

Work Schedule:

4:00am start time – until work is completed

5 days/week with working either a Saturday or Sunday

Mandatory Holiday shifts

Compensation:

$25.00/hour

Physical Demands:

Work in cold and wet cooler conditions for short periods of time i>Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

i>Stand or sit for long periods of time
