Longevity pay after completion of 6 years of employment
Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon School Employees Association)
Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees
8 paid holidays annually
11 paid sick leave days per year
2 paid personal leave days per year
5 paid bereavement leave days per year, per occurrence
Up to $2,121. per month district-paid contribution toward full-family medical, dental and vision insurance (for full-time employees)
$500. per month opt-out stipend for employees who demonstrate other health insurance coverage under a qualifying employer sponsored group medical plan (for full-time employees)

Purpose
The School Office Manager ensures the efficiency and organization of the critical day-to-day school office operations by performing a wide range of complex senior-level clerical and administrative duties.
Reports to: Principal or Assistant Principal
Essential Job Functions
Oversee and coordinate the office operations of a senior school administrator, including matters pertaining to scheduling, budget, personnel, record-keeping and correspondence.
Screen incoming calls, mail and visitors, responding independently to routine inquiries not requiring the attention of an administrator.
Schedule appointments, meetings and conferences and arrange travel as needed.
Serve as the school administrator's liaison to staff, other district departments and schools, and the general public.
Act as school contact person during emergency situations.
Manage and assign substitutes.
Monitor and maintain various types of records, including financial expenditures, budgets, payroll, billing, personnel and grant reports; prepare reports for the district office as required.
Manage associated student body funds, including receiving cash, making bank deposits, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Process and verify payroll materials.
Process student registration, enrollment and transfers.
Greet and direct students, parents and other visitors to the school office.
Communicate with parents about student absences and other issues pertaining to student welfare.
Administer basic first-aid and medications to students in accordance with established medical protocols and doctor’s instructions.
Produce typed and edited documents from oral or written instructions, including correspondence, reports, memoranda and interoffice communications.
Operate a variety of standard office equipment, including a computer, copier, fax machine and calculator.
Maintain inventories of school supplies, including ordering, receiving and distribution.
Respond to general inquiries for information and assistance.
Maintain effective and respectful working relationships with staff and students.
Required Qualifications
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess four years of experience in a secretarial position.
Must pass a criminal background check.
Must be able to read, write, understand and follow multi‑step written and verbal instructions in English.
Working Conditions
The School Office Manager works primarily indoors in an office environment. The position requires regular work at a computer, as well as the ability to write, hear and speak. The incumbent will also occasionally be required to kneel, bend or crouch. Potential exposures may include blood‑borne pathogens and sick or injured students. The position requires high levels of interaction with children from diverse backgrounds, many of whom experience behavior, academic or physiological challenges.
