What you will be doing
This position will lead the ADP Finance and Business Operations function for Mobility Improvements and Derivatives, Next Gen Mobility, and Joint All Domain Operations as the Business Management Lead within the Advanced Development Programs Line of Business. The successful candidate will possess broad financial acumen and will be required to support an expansive range of activities that span capture, execution, and contract close out, including business processes associated with Proposals, Contracts, Estimating, Financial Planning, EVMS, Independent Cost Estimating and others. This role will also lead Finance and Business Operations oversight associated with new and existing contracts ensuring sound cost/financial baselines, budget targets, conducting financial risk assessments and ensuring accurate financial forecasts. The position requires the ability to understand, create, report, and forecast Orders, Sales, Cash and Earnings and to understand factors that impact Return on Sales (ROS)/Return on Cost (ROC), Sales, Cash performance as indicated by receivables metrics, program performance, cost volume, revenue recognition standards, etc. The position will also support the establishment of program ground rules to support Estimate‑at‑Completion (EAC) planning and will support the submittal of timely and accurate Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) deliverables including Cost Performance Reports (CPR), Contract Funding Status Reports, IPMR, Funds and Man‑Hour Reports, and others.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will identify areas for cost improvement and support the implementation of recommended corrective actions, develop and monitor program termination liability and funding forecasts, and prepare and conduct Contract Status Reviews on program financial status. This role requires strong communication skills, both written and oral, to coordinate across multiple program and functional competencies. The portfolio is highly dynamic and growing rapidly; the candidate will be comfortable navigating ambiguity and helping program teams arrive at business solutions that balance customer and LM financial, contractual, and other requirements.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Selected applicants will not require a TOP Secret clearance to begin employment, but will be submitted for a TOP Secret clearance after hire.
Basic Qualifications
Experience in Orders/Sales/EBIT/Cash reporting
Experience with Earned Value (EV) application and implementation on new contracts
Experience in creating and managing budget targets
Experience with U.S. Government reporting requirements (e.g., CPR, IPMR, CFSR)
Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) / Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR)
Experience with U.S. Government proposals for competitive capture activities, Engineering Change Proposals, Contract Change Proposals, etc.
Demonstrated financial and analytical experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher with 10 years or more of professional experience
Desired Skills
Experience with LM Aeronautics business systems including SAP, Deltek COBRA, Deltek Open Plan, Accounting Data Analysis and Reporting (ADAR), Hyperion, and others
Experience teaching and mentoring peers
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proactive, problem‑solving, cost‑conscious mindset
Experience interacting with VP’s, Directors, Managers, cross‑functional peers, coworkers, and the entire company as a lead financial point of contact in a team environment
Proactive approach to problem solving
Ability to multitask and handle special project assignments simultaneously
Ability to work across organizational boundaries to achieve program and company goals
