Summary
Schedule Requirements:

Must be available to work a flexible schedule during the week, including weekends and holidays.

The Overnight Security Supervisor is responsible for protecting the safety and security of guests, employees, and the hotel property during overnight operations. This role oversees all security functions on the shift, including emergency response, fire prevention, investigations, surveillance monitoring, patrols, incident reporting, and responding to medical or security-related situations. The position also supervises overnight security officers by directing daily operations, dispatching assignments, supporting training and performance, and ensuring all safety procedures, equipment, and protocols are followed. A strong focus on professionalism, sound judgment, and exceptional guest service is essential.

In addition to frontline security responsibilities, this role supports the administrative and operational management of the department by maintaining security reports, manuals, records, supplies, lost and found operations, key control, parking decals, employee ID distribution, and workers’ compensation documentation. The Overnight Security Supervisor also assists with staffing, time and attendance oversight, investigations, vendor and visitor access control, and coordination with outside agencies when needed. This position requires strong communication skills, physical capability to respond in emergency situations, and the ability to lead a team while maintaining a safe, secure, and well-managed environment throughout the hotel.

Qualifications

1-3 years of prior security experience required

Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances

Good writing and communication skills

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work a flexible schedule
