Salary Range:
Service Employee Annual Salary. Salary based on experience and education level per Putnam County Board of Education salary schedule plus a competitive benefits package to include: PEIA insurance, retirement, life insurance, free vision and dental insurance.
Employment Length:
200 days
Responsibilities
The Early Childhood Assistant Teacher or 1st to 3rd Grade Aide supports the instructional program by performing tasks assigned by the regular classroom teacher.
Responsibilities and duties are as outlined in the Putnam County Schools Job Description.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Holds "Aide" classification.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Valid CPR and First Aid cards.
Agree to complete a Temporary or Permanent Authorization endorsed for Early Childhood Education.
Additional Training Requirements
Current ECCATs or paraprofessionals wishing to serve in Grades 1–3 classrooms must complete additional in‑person or online training in the science of reading, numeracy, and appropriate measures for exercising authority and control over students:
Two courses within two calendar years (for existing ECCATs). Successful completion results in an endorsement to serve in PK–Grade 3.
Four courses within three calendar years (for newly hired ECCATs). Licensure will reflect PK–Grade 3 endorsement.
