The Pierz School District is looking for a dedicated
Head Cook
to oversee the lunch program at Pierz Healy High School beginning the 2026-2027 school year.
Responsibilities
Managing the daily high school lunch program.
Directing staff workflow and maintaining production records.
Placing food orders in a timely manner, checking supplies & maintaining inventory.
Complying with MDE food and nutrition guidelines and requirements for schools.
Creating monthly menus using the Food & Nutrition software program.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Strong verbal skills.
Comfortable with essential computer skills.
Have or the ability to obtain a Food Manager Certification endorsement.
Previous commercial or school kitchen experience preferred.
Compensation: Minimum starting at $22.08/hr. (based on experience).
Schedule: 8 hrs./day | 9-month school year calendar.
