Overview
Full Time Courier/Swing Driver, 8AM – 8PM, Tuesday – Saturday. Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service features. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station’s service area and related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Operate company vehicles within assigned routes.
Deliver and pickup packages efficiently and courteously.
Inspect shipments for compliance with FedEx service features.
Provide customer service functions related to deliveries.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum education: High school diploma or GED.
Minimum experience: 6 months courier experience preferred; must demonstrate area knowledge.
At least 21 years of age.
Valid driver's license (state requirements) with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages over 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
Good verbal communication and human relations skills.
Knowledge of the station’s service area preferred.
Strong adaptability and dependability.
Ability to read and speak English to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic officials, and respond to official inquiries in accordance with FMCSA guidance.
Job Conditions
Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
Must meet and maintain federal motor carrier safety regulations, including FMCSA or FAA medical examinations.
Job requires constant alertness and safe operation of company vehicles.
Additional Details
Full-time Swing Position with a schedule of approximately 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday. Days off will be determined.
