Overview
This independent day and boarding School in North Essex is seeking a suitable and enthusiastic Spanish Teacher to join our Modern Foreign Languages team. The role is a fixed‑term, full‑time position covering a maternity leave period of up to one year, with a teaching load of 44 lessons per fortnight (Monday to Saturday).
Responsibilities
Work closely with Heads of Department and teach across Key Stages 3 to 5.
Deliver high quality, engaging lessons in Spanish, with a willingness to teach a second modern language if capable.
Fully contribute to co‑curricular activities, including boarding, tutoring, sports and the school activity programme.
Support the Prep and Senior MFL departments in sharing best practice and ensuring a clear languages pathway for all students.
Qualifications & Requirements
Qualified Spanish teacher, with excellent subject knowledge.
Experience teaching across KS3 to KS5, or an ECT with strong potential; the department supports ECT development.
Strong commitment to delivering exceptional learning and to engaging fully with all aspects of the school.
Willingness to collaborate with a collegial team and to contribute to the vibrant, collegiate culture of teaching staff.
