Position: Memory Care Support Partner
Type: Part Time
Location: Blue Springs, Missouri
Starting wage: $18.50–$24.00 per hour
Shift schedule: Week 1 – Thursday 6 pm–6 am; Week 2 – Monday 6 pm–6 am
We are looking for someone like you:
Advocate of Empathy – responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connections with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Patient Observer – discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are; collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
Master of the Mise en Scène – set the stage for a successful day by preparing the dining room, library, and resident’s room for daily routines.
Life Partner – partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from wake to sleep.
Document resident care and changes in condition accurately and consistently.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
What are we looking for?
At least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude; love for residents.
Computer skills to print documents and enter information about residents.
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day; lift or move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall.
Criminal clearance required.
