Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Glen Burnie, MD. Weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Pay & Benefits

Paid Weekly

Weekly Guarantee $1250 per Week

Solo Miles Pay: $0.692 per Mile for the first 90 days

Solo Stops Pay: $19.89 per Stop

Per Diem Pay: $51.75 per night with 3 nights per Month

Overnights for Route in Ryder‑booked Hotel

Paid Training

Schedule: Monday – Friday, no weekends

Start Time: 5:00 AM – 6:30 AM

Routes & Equipment

Deliver SOLO To: MD, VA, WV, PA, OH, DE

Route: Home Daily

Tractor Type: Day Cab

Able to accept an automatic restriction

Trailer Types: 42', 45', and 53' Dry Vans & occasional Straight Trucks

Equipment: Electric & Manual Pallet Jack, Dolly

Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful

Freight: Touch – Flooring Material

Equipment & Maintenance
Equipment includes 24/7 roadside maintenance and company drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age

Pass a Ryder Drug Test

Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Pass a DOT physical

Pass a Ryder road test

Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position

Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:

9 months experience within the past 3 years OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years

Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions

Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines

Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards. Maintaining accurate records and logs

Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer

Performs other duties as assigned
