Find your next opportunity today!**Description of Work**The major purpose of this position is to provide paraprofessional instructional activities with children who are deaf or hard of hearing with additional disabilities in one or more of the following areas: linguistic development, motor skills, self-help, social-emotional, prevocational, pre-academic, academic, health, hygienic, cognitive and/or behavioral in K-12 program working directly with and under the direction the classroom teacher and supervised by the School Principal.**Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences**Individual and/or small group instruction/guidance in areas such as: pre-academic, academic, behavior management, cognitive development, language development, self-help, motor skills, and social skillsConsults, cooperates and helps person(s) responsible for implementation of the IEPAssisting assigned students(s) with personal hygiene needs, monitoring of behaviors, and shadowing of student(s) during transition periods.Perform work-related tasks as required\*\*\*\*Duties may be required as the need arises within the program.•Driving ENCSD vehicles for the purpose of student transportation and/or daily activities (field trips)•Maintaining a non-expired NCDMV NCDL license with a clean driving recordSuccessfully completing any and all necessary training regarding the

operation of state vehicles•Riding on ENCSD vehicles while supervising students enroute to and from school•Gathering, compiling, and disseminating information on daily/weekly/ monthly reports•Maintaining confidentiality with regards to student information•Receiving, compiling, filing and disseminating information from other on and off campus service providers pertaining to students (as directed)•Assisting assigned teacher(s) with classroom duties•\*Assisting morning dorm attendants as needed with students \*The list above is meant to include established duties/responsibilities, it is not intended to become comprehensive and may be altered by the School Director and/or School Principal as the needs of students or the program arise. This position is essential to school operations and the holder of this position is considered a mandatory employee.
