Position Summary
Canyon High School is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and student-centered Head Football Coach/Boys Campus Coordinator to lead the football program and coordinate all boys' athletics on campus. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, high moral character, and a commitment to developing student-athletes in alignment with Canyon ISD values.
Qualifications & Requirements
Head coaching experience preferred; significant experience as a coordinator or assistant coach at the high school or collegiate level strongly considered.
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate and appropriate teaching field.
CDL or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe.
Demonstrated success in building and sustaining competitive, character-driven athletic programs.
Strong communication, organizational, and program‑management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with campus and district administration.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and oversee all aspects of the Canyon High School football program.
Serve as Boys Campus Coordinator, supervising and supporting all boys’ athletic programs, coaches, and facilities usage.
Develop and implement program philosophy, goals, and expectations consistent with Canyon ISD policies and UIL regulations.
Promote academic achievement, character development, and sportsmanship for all student‑athletes.
Oversee staff development, off‑season programs, strength and conditioning, and athletic period instruction.
Manage program budgets, equipment, inventory, and communication with families and community stakeholders.
Collaborate with middle school athletic programs to maintain vertical alignment and long‑term player development.
Represent Canyon High School athletics at district and community events.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
Proven record of leadership, team building, and program improvement.
Strong understanding of modern football strategy, player development, and program operations.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community.
Commitment to integrity, accountability, and excellence on and off the field.
