We’re looking for an individual who embodies the luxury lifestyle experience. An ideal Thompson team member has a passion for creating unique experiences, that can quickly perpetuate a culture of great design and superlative service, with a sharp sense of humor. This candidate will have a passion for exceptional hotel service and who can express that belief in an atmosphere of spontaneity and authenticity. The perfect candidate should be familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar with banquet etiquette.
Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems.
Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles.
Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards.
Knowledgeable about beverages served, their garnish, contents and preparation methods.
Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests, prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies.
Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools.
Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks.
Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
Transport supplies to bar set-up area.
Wash soiled glassware.
Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables and place in designated area.
Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs.
Process all payment methods if event requires.
Count bank at end of shift, Secure bank.
Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods.
All other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
Refined verbal communication skills.
Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
