Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality math instruction
Differentiate lessons to meet diverse learning needs
Use formal and informal assessments to monitor student growth
Foster a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
Teach and reinforce social skills within the homeroom setting
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and leadership
Participate in professional development focused on autism and best practices
Support school events and community‑building activities
Maintain responsibility for classroom materials and equipment
Attend meetings, professional workdays, and school functions as required
Qualifications
Minimum BA in Mathematics or Education, required
Valid Texas Teacher Certification, required
Special Education Certification, preferred
Prior experience working with children with special needs, preferred
Skills & Knowledge
Dynamic educator with a willingness to innovate and inspire
Passion for developing critical thinking and a love of learning
Ability to differentiate instruction for multiple academic levels

Strong oral and written communication skills
