Bilingual Pre-Kindergarten-4 Aide, Elementary School (2026-2027 School Year)
Salary:
$20,944 (Minimum) – $24,639 (Mid) (Based on 2025-2026 Pay Scale)

Primary Purpose:
The Bilingual Pre-Kindergarten Aide is responsible for assisting the teacher in the supervision and instruction of bilingual pre-kindergarten students.
All employees are expected to act with integrity, support and demonstrate our core values, communicate clearly and respectfully, and continuously improve self-performance and processes.
Qualifications
HS Diploma from an accredited institution.
Completion of at least 48 hours of college coursework.
Must obtain Educational Aide Certification.
Provide Independent School District’s NCLB test in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics (tests administered after recommendation for hire).
Bilingual; able to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently.
Preferred
1 year job related experience.
Special Knowledge/Skills
Ability to work well with children.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to correspond (written and oral) in English and Spanish.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Assist teacher with implementing lesson plans.
Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
Assist teacher with maintenance of classroom equipment, student files, and records.
Assist teacher in conferring with parents and/or appropriate personnel regarding the evaluation of students’ progress.
Assist teacher with translations when needed.
Provide orientation and assistance to the substitute teacher when the Bilingual PK teacher is absent.
Participate in staff development and faculty meetings as assigned.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Working/Special Conditions
Typical duties involve prolonged sitting, moderate standing, stooping, bending, reaching and repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of a computer. Ability to maintain emotional control under stress. May require lifting no more than 10 lbs. Overtime is required as necessary.
