Position Description
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) applicants.

The department reserves the right to select the most qualified candidate for each position and assign the ISA to courses appropriate for the department program and curriculum each semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, course offerings may vary and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.

Appointment Dates

Fall 2026: August 19, 2026 – December 22, 2026

Spring 2027: January 15, 2027 – May 26, 2027

Hours
0–20 hours per week.

Job Duties

Maintain and submit student records and grades.

Evaluate student assignments.

Attend class lectures.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a minimum of 6 units.

Compensation
The salary range for Instructional Student Assistants starts at $17.86 per hour. Base salary may vary by department.
