Job Description
Blackfoot School District No. 55 is seeking applicants for the following position: Science Teacher at Blackfoot High School. Position status: Full‑time for the 2026-2027 school year.
Salary: Placement on District No. 55 26-27 Teacher Salary Schedule.
Benefits: 4‑Day School Week; 161 Day Contract with State Insurance Plan of Health, Dental and Vision coverage with affordable dependent and family coverage.
Responsibilities
Teach the science curriculum, which includes biology, physics, chemistry, physical science and earth science classes, to students enrolled in grades 9‑12 at Blackfoot High School.
Perform other duties assigned by the building principal.
Requirements
Must have at least a bachelor’s degree and possess or be eligible for a teaching certificate endorsed for natural science issued by the state of Idaho.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
