
Logistics Specialist

As a Logistics Specialist, your mission is to support the logistics department by receiving freight and small parcels, processing them in SAP or a computer system, and physically putting them away. You will perform inventory counts, schedule outbound freight (including international shipments), and pick small parts for spare parts orders. Your specialty may focus on outbound freight, and you will be responsible for all aspects of that area. You will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
Responsibilities
Schedule outbound shipments and prepare related documents, including invoices, BOLs, pro forma invoices, and transportation labels.
Prepare parts for assembly, stage materials, and inspect incoming goods visually.
Execute appropriate system movements in SAP to maintain accurate inventory, such as transfer postings, inventory adjustments, goods receipts, and COGI error resolutions.
Maintain accurate inventory and storage location information in SAP.
Pack and prepare customer orders with appropriate materials to ensure safe delivery; prepare pallets for shipment using shrink wrap, strapping, and other methods.
Qualifications
Warehouse or other logistics/shipping experience preferred.
Experience with warehouse activities, material handling, visual inspection of incoming goods, and shipping preparation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Knowledge of SAP or another ERP system, or proven ability to learn new computer programs.
Ability to learn operation of forklift, pallet jack, and overhead crane.
Continuous improvement mindset and ability to reprioritize throughout the day.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to stand for 6 or more hours during the shift.
Must bend, stoop, reach, and crouch as needed.
Requires close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Lifting demand is heavy; regular lifting between 35–40 pounds is frequent throughout the shift. Reasonable accommodations can be made.
