The EyeCare Advisor creates exceptional value by delivering the LensCrafters Experience and ensuring all patients receive top-tier optometric care. The role integrates brand storytelling, flawless execution of patient experience, and links the doctor and retail functions.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Greets customers within 30 seconds.
Answers the phone promptly (3 rings) in a friendly manner.
Explains required paperwork, tests, products, and services.
Reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully, consulting Optician, Managing Doctor, or Retail Management when necessary.
Shows patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers.
Performs work accurately under time pressure and high volume.
Identifies unsatisfied customers and resolves quickly.
Demonstrates knowledge of appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operations.
Handles and files patient records in an organized manner in accordance with HIPAA.
Places contact lens orders, processes shipments, and submits invoices for payment.
Operates the POS terminal, inputting customer/patient and prescription data accurately.
Collects proper payment, follows security procedures, and retains correct change for all transactions.
Explains “One Hour” processing and expected delivery times.
Maintains store appearance and visual displays per company guidelines.
Ensures a safe working environment for all associates and patients.
Responds quickly to changes in store promotions with appropriate staff communications, graphics, and point‑of‑purchase materials.
Retail
Demonstrates product knowledge and accurately describes lens and frame features and benefits.
Assists customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to vision, lifestyle, and budget.
Doctor’s Office
Performs all pre‑examination testing accurately and explains measurements to patients.
Provides coaching on contact lens care and handling.
Maintains and disinfects contact lens inventory; offers clinical support to the Optometrist.
Basic Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
Strong customer service skills.
Knowledge of current fashion trends.
Strong communication and listening skills.
Problem‑solving ability.
Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators.
Sales skills.
Basic math skills.
Knowledge of office and store merchandise.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in customer service, retail, and/or optical.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Pay Range: 20.67 - 29.22
