In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our Product Supply Aseptic Manufacturing (PS AM) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. The Position
Provide & coordinate maintenance & services to the facility in a cost-effective manner.

Relationships
Reports to Manager, Facilities & Utilities Maintenance.

Essential Functions

Follows all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties

Assists in management & execution of contracts for services while improving value

Maintains the facility & responds timely to building maintenance requests

Responsible for physical condition of building & grounds

Responsible for planning & performing work relating to general repair of buildings such as installing & relocating building or office fixtures & minor repairs to building, walls, floors, stairs, general carpentry, etc.

Routinely audits building & parking lot cleanliness & maintenance

Works independently on projects of greater complexity

May provide direction to less experienced staff

Participates with spill response & first aid teams in coordination with EHS

Updates Facility Management share-point site & records

Supports execution of shipping, receiving & non-GMP warehouse tasks as needed

Provides back up support for waste management

Other accountabilities, as assigned

Physical Requirements
Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Ability to be on feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May require corrected vision to 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. May be required to work at elevated heights. Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazardous materials. May be required to wear latex gloves. Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environments. Occasionally positions oneself within confined spaces for inspection, repair & maintenance of equipment. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Able to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks. Does not require a valid drivers license.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in engineering, business or planning, or an equivalent combination of education & experience a plus

Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in facilities maintenance or similar field preferred

Building maintenance knowledge/experience required

Knowledge of security systems a plus

Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations preferred

Participation in emergency response teams a plus

Pharmaceutical experience a plus

Good communication & writing skills a plus

Valid driver’s license & ability to drive box truck for movement of materials between NN sites a plus

Ability to develop & manage action plans to achieve targets preferred
