Job Title: Varsity Assistant Football Coach with 2nd Sport and History or Social Studies
Location: Edgewood High School
Edgewood ISD is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to serve as a Varsity Football Coach while also teaching History or Social Studies. The role requires a passion for teaching, a deep understanding of the subject matter, and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to national and school curriculum standards.
Provide instruction and foster an environment that encourages student participation.
Evaluate student performance through assessments, providing feedback to students and parents.
Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning environment.
Participate in school events and staff meetings.
Train, mentor, and guide students in various sports activities.
Develop strategies to improve team performance, ensuring that all players understand the rules and strategies of the sport.
Skills and Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong content knowledge in History or Social Studies.
Ability to engage and inspire students.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
Experience in coaching and sports training.
Certifications
