Responsibilities
Operate and monitor radiation therapy equipment (LINAC) to deliver prescribed treatments according to the treatment plan.
Verify patient identity, immobilization, and positioning; ensure alignment with treatment fields and clinical protocols.
Assist with patient setup and delivery of daily treatments; monitor patient comfort and safety throughout care.
Perform routine quality assurance checks and daily equipment checks following department policy.
Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and medical physics to ensure accurate treatment delivery; document treatment details in the electronic medical record.
Maintain proper documentation of treatments and patient status; adhere to safety and infection control standards for patients and staff.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Radiation Therapy Tech or in Radiation Oncology
American Heart Association BLS (basic life support) certification
Ability to work in a hospital setting on a daytime, 8-hour shift
Eligible to work in the United States (as required for this travel assignment)
