Clinical Service Representative – Cardiology
Shift:
Contingent - roughly 20 hours per week - Days

Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Clinical Service Representative (CSR) supports the daily operations of the cardiology office by following standard operating procedures for all patient registration and front‑end activities. This role is responsible for delivering a high level of customer service while ensuring accurate patient information, efficient workflow, and a positive patient experience from arrival through discharge.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist patients, visitors, and providers in a professional and courteous manner
Perform patient registration activities including:
Face-to-face check-in and check-out
Pre-registration and demographic verification
Insurance verification and eligibility review
Collect co‑pays, balances, and other patient payments; reconcile daily cash collections
Complete chart reconciliation and ensure accurate documentation within the system
Facilitate patient discharge and provide follow‑up instructions as needed
Communicate clearly with patients regarding financial responsibilities and connect them with the Customer Service Center when appropriate
Maintain accuracy while working with detailed patient and insurance information
Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative team members to support patient flow
Manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment with frequent interruptions
Uphold organizational standards for service excellence across all interactions
Complete all required annual competencies and training
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting preferred
Skills & Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and over the phone
Ability to work effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff
Proficiency in basic computer skills (e.g., email, navigating systems, data entry)
Ability to perform basic calculations and complete required forms accurately
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment
Comfortable discussing general financial responsibilities with patients
Team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues
Dependable, punctual, and adaptable
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations of varying ages and backgrounds
Fast‑paced cardiology clinic setting
Frequent patient interaction and interruptions
Requires sitting, standing, and computer use throughout the day
